Construction of the Lions Cultural Centre began in 1971 and was completed in 1974.

The Lions Cultural Centre is managed by a semi-autonomous Committee of the Lions Club of Port of Spain Central.

The Lions Cultural Centre Committee comprises of Six (6) persons who are also members of the Lions Club of Port of Spain Central. The Committee is responsible for the management, maintenance and operation of the premises. Members of the Committee do not receive compensation for any services rendered to the Committee.

Requests for donations and discounts must be directed to the Lions Club of Port of Spain Central 

which is the charitable arm of the Organisation.
